Description: Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain/Purchasing Specialist and play a vital role in managing our organization’s supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationship management to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes.
Requirements:
- PhD and/or Master’s degree student or graduate IN Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or purchasing roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in procurement and inventory management.
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives.
- Must mentor younger students.
- Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct supplier audits as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in supply chain management.
